We focus on family law

Our volunteer attorneys are available to assist with cases involving most family law issues. Divorce, custody matters, and child support are just a few examples. We also offer a wide array of free legal help in other areas of law as well. Our mission is to provide quality, compassionate assistance to marginalized residents of DuPage County through pro bono legal representation, community outreach, education, and advocacy. Our History

DuPage Legal Assistance Foundation oversees the DuPage Legal Aid Service. Our firm was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1975. DuPage Legal Aid is dedicated to providing the highest level of legal representation possible to lower income residents of DuPage County. Our stated purposes are to:

• Connect people who cannot afford an attorney with a volunteer/pro bono attorney to help them with their family law cases
• Assist persons and community organizations to secure legal protection against injustice and to obtain due process of law and the equal protection of the laws
• Promote knowledge of the law and of legal process, rights and responsibilities among the poor and the general public
• Study the use of law and legal process to combat poverty and poor living conditions
• Provide counsel to persons and groups seeking these ends
